Clinical and Consultation Services

Clinical Diagnosis

  • Do you have ADHD?

Our licensed mental health clinician is a certified ADHD Practitioner (ADHD-PC).

A comprehensive assessment includes the following: testing, individual sessions, and a report that you may use to support your request for reimbursement of services, work or school accommodations, and/or medication.

Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)

  • …and Out of Network Medical Insurance

A Letter of Medical Necessity may be required for clients to apply for reimbursement through their Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Savings Account (FSA), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Human Resources Department (HR), or medical insurance (eg. Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health, etc).

ADHD Works Now can provide a LMN if your program is willing to accept a LMN from a licensed clinician in California.

Employer-based Programs

  • Clients participating in the following employer-based programs may be eligible for reimbursement for some or all services.

Health Savings Account (HSA) and/or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

ADHD Works Now does accept HSA/FSA payment for most services (we cannot guarantee coverage).  Having a Letter of Medical Necessity will help to validate your medical need for services.

    • Covered services include Coaching, Skills Groups/Workshops, Diagnostic Assessments, fees paid to obtain a LMN. If you plan to use your HSA/FSA we strongly recommend obtaining a Letter of Medical Necessity from ADHD Works Now or other licensed medical provider.

These programs are offered as part of a comprehensive employment benefit package.  Typically, employees elect to join an HSA or FSA at time of hire or annually during open enrollment. The employer may contribute (this is less common) and the employee may contribute to the account with pre-tax dollars (this saves you money in the long run because it lowers the total amount of income subject to taxes).  HSA/FSA dollars can be used for health related expenses.  Helpful resources: HSA Store ; FSA vs HSA).

    Human Resources Department

ADHD Works Now can assist you with framing a request to your HR Department that may result in full or partial payment of our services.

    • Depending on the size of the company, employers are legally required to offer certain benefits and many offer more benefits to meet the needs of their staff.  California State (5 or more employees) and U.S. Federal ADA (15 or more employees) laws require employers to provide “reasonable accommodations” to enable employees with disabilities.  Requesting these accommodations does a documented clinical diagnosis.  Also, some employers offer professional development funds, wellness stipends, or Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

Health Insurance

  • You may be able to get reimbursed for clinical services through your insurance as an Out-of-Network provider

ADHD Works Now clinical services may be fully or partially reimbursed through your health insurance as on Out of Network (OON) Provider.  Clinical services include Clinical Diagnosis (Diagnostic Assessment) and Skills Groups.  Coaching is not covered by most health insurance carriers.
